Archives for french passport category

My son finally got his french passport las week. It wasn’t that long as I expected it to be. The entire processing took us 2 weeks only after we submitted the documents they asked from us. To apply for a french passport, one has to go at the nearby mairie of his/her area. In our case, we submitted the following:

-acte de naissance/birth certificate of my son 1 copy original
- 1 photo id with white background
- 1 original recent justificatif de domicile
- livret de famille
- id cards or carte d’identité of the parents
- presence of your child
- presence of the parents
- passport application form

Once the passport is ready, the mairie will send you a claim slip for the passport. You have to bring this together with your carte d’identité if you were the one who filled up the form. If somebody else will claim the passport (your husband, mother, you -incase it was your husband who signed up the form), ask his/her carte d’identite because they’ll be looking for that. Voila
